The Sioux Falls Storm kept their perfect season and home streak alive Saturday night as they fought off the Texas Revolution by a score of 34 to 29. The Storm advance to 13-0 on the season and captured their 40th straight home win. The Storm streak dates back to May of 2010.

After a quick start to the game, which saw the Storm get a safety on the first kickoff and score on their first drive, the Revolution scored 16 unanswered points. Things began to click in the second half and Sioux Falls managed to put together drives and come up with big stops down the stretch.

Storm quarterback Chris Dixon put together another masterful game as he finished with 179 yards on 16 for 27 passing and added another 3 touchdowns to his season total. Dixon connected with his receivers on two key plays of the night, the first of which being a deep ball to Mike Tatum for the first touchdown of the game, and the other being a fourth quarter 26 yard catch and run to Storm wide out Jeremiah Oates.

Tyler Knight proved once again why he is regarded as one of the best defensive players in league. Knight managed to record 16 tackles on the night and added another 2.5 sacks. As a unit the Storm defense recorded 8 sacks, 9 tackles for a loss, and also forced 1 fumble.

Next Saturday, June 14 the Storm will be traveling to Cedar Rapids (9-3) to close out the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 pm, tune into KELQ/KELO 107.9FM/1320AM to catch all the action. The following week, on June 21st, the Storm will be back in the Shelter in a rematch against Cedar Rapids for the United Conference Championship game.
