Warriors Basketball Camp Tip off 2014 Summer Schedule

OAKLAND, CA - The Golden State Warriors will tip off the 2014 summer schedule for Warriors Basketball Camp, powered by Under Armour, the global leader in sports performance and innovation, on Monday, June 9 with three camp sessions in Santa Rosa, Napa and San Francisco, the team announced today . The summer schedule features 20 camp sessions at 16 different locations throughout the Bay Area, including four camps at the Warriors Practice Facility in downtown Oakland, two camps at Kaiser Permanente Arena, home of the Santa Cruz Warriors, and a special edition Stephen Curry Overnight Camp at the Stevenson School in Pebble Beach. Over 27,000 youth have attended Warriors Basketball Camp since its inception in the summer of 2000.

The summer schedule is highlighted by 18 week-long general sessions, which focus on individual skill development, the importance of fundamentals and the development of a healthy team attitude for boys and girls, ages 7-15, of all skill levels and abilities. The general sessions will be held in Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Cupertino, Newark, Saratoga, Napa, Livermore, Larkspur, Walnut Creek and San Ramon. Warriors Basketball Camp will also host a High Potential camp session for boys and girls ages 11-17 at the Warriors Practice Facility on July 21-25 to focus on skill development, the importance of fundamentals and the development of a healthy team attitude.

In addition to the general sessions, Warriors Basketball Camp will hold the second annual Stephen Curry Overnight Camp at the Stevenson School in Pebble Beach on June 26-28. The Warriors guard will be present for two days of this sold-out camp session to conduct lectures, interact with campers, demonstrate his personal workout routine and more.

The staff at Warriors Basketball Camp consists of current high school and college coaches, as well as current and former local college players. Many sessions of Warriors Basketball Camp also feature appearances by current and former Warriors players and coaches. In the past year alone, Warriors players Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Bogut, Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green and Festus Ezeli, as well as former Warriors Alvin Attles, Tom Tolbert, Jim Barnett and Adonal Foyle have appeared at Warriors Basketball Camp sessions.
