Five Bulldogs Alumni Reach Stanley Cup Final

HAMILTON, ONTARIO - When the Stanley Cup Final begins on Wednesday, June 4th, between the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings, there will be five Hamilton Bulldogs alumni vying for the National Hockey League's top prize, including Rangers forwards Benoit Pouliot and Danny Kristo, Rangers defenceman Danny Syvret, Rangers assistant coach Daniel Lacroix and Kings forward Jarret Stoll.

Pouliot has eight points (three goals, five assists) and 20 penalty minutes in 20 games through the first three rounds of the NHL playoffs with the Rangers. He participated in three regular season games with the Bulldogs during the 2009-2010 season, recording three points (one goal, two assists) and four penalty minutes.

Stoll has four points (two goals, two assists) and 18 penalty minutes in 21 games so far in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Kings. He skated in 76 regular season games with Hamilton during the 2002-2003 season, recording 54 points (21 goals, 33 assists) and 86 penalty minutes.

Kristo and Syvret were recalled by the Rangers following the end of their American Hockey League season with the Hartford Wolf Pack and haven't played in any NHL playoff games this season. Kristo appeared in nine regular season contests with Hamilton at the end of the 2012-2013 season, recording three assists and two penalty minutes. Syvret skated in 62 regular season games with the Bulldogs in the 2005-2006 season, recording 20 assists and 38 penalty minutes.

Lacroix is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Rangers. He spent the 2009-2010 season as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs. That season, Hamilton had a record 52-17-3-8.
