Nastasiuk Captures Five Awards at Bell Awards BBQ

Owen Sound Attack captain Zach Nastasiuk won 5 awards as the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League staged their year end barbeque celebration at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

Most significantly, Nastasiuk was selected as both the Jerry Reid Memorial Trophy & the Butch Keeling Memorial Trophy which are awarded to the Attack's Most Valuable Player in the regular season and the playoffs respectively.

Nastasiuk who scored 23 goals for the Attack this season also won the Attack Pak Award, the Dave McComb Memorial Award for leadership & perseverance plus the Society of Energy Professionals Trophy as the Players Choice as top player.

Netminder Brandon Hope won two awards.

The Michigan native was the Becker Shoes Player of the Week winner and also won the Pat McReavy Award winner as the team's unsung hero.

The other Attack Award & award winners were;

Howard Hindman Award ( Scholastic Player of the Year ) - Brett Hargrave

Dan Snyder Memorial Award ( Positive Outlook In the Dressing Room ) - Daniel Milne

Harry Kazarian Memorial Award ( Most Improved Player ) - Jack Flinn

Harry Lumley Memorial Award ( Rookie of the Year ) - Justin Brack

Tommy Burlington Award ( Leading Scorer ) -Holden Cook

Red Leckie Award ( Largest Contribution to the Organization ) - Kurtis Gabriel

The Attack wish to thank Bell, as well as all of the prospects and team members who made the trip to Owen Sound, as well as the over 400 attendees who came out to the Bayshore on Saturday.
