Six Pats Prospects Heading to Provincial U16 Camps

Regina, Saskatchewan -The Regina Pats are pleased to announce six of the nine players selected by the Blue and White in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft will be attending provincial development camps as the first step towards playing at the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George, B.C.

Half of the Pats prospects heading to camps hail from Alberta with forwards Gary Haden (9th RD), Zachary Cox (8th RD) and Robert Holmes (11th RD) all members of Hockey Alberta's Top 80. The Team Alberta U16 Male Summer Development Camp goes July 15th-20th in Camrose, A.B.

Two Pats prospects made the Saskatchewan Hockey Association's U16 Top 42 list. Second round pick forward Erik Gardiner and seventh round selection forward Carson Welke will participate in the SHA's Summer Camp July 23rd-27th in Wilcox, SK at the College of Notre Dame.

Goaltender Jordan Hollett, the Pats' first round pick at the WHL Bantam Draft, will compete at B.C. Hockey's Provincial Camp July 8th-13th in Nanaimo, B.C.

After the camps, players will be scouted with their Midget club teams before the provincial hockey associations make their final selections. The 2015 Canada Winter Games take place February 13th - March 1st in Prince George.
