INDEPENDENCE, Missouri (May 29, 2014) - Fresh off of winning the Major Indoor Soccer League Championship in March, five Missouri Comets players are headed to Newcastle, England as members of the U.S. Futsal Men's National Team, led by former Milwaukee Wave Head Coach, Keith Tozer. Making up over a third of the 14-man roster, Comets players John Sosa, Danny Waltman, Brian Harris, Leo Gibson and Bryan Perez will represent their country in the upcoming Four Nations Tournament.

The American team, which will travel to the annual international championship from June 5 to 8 in Newcastle, is ranked 34th in the world. After that, the squad gears up for a pair of friendly matches against France in Tozer's hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. France checks in at No. 39.

"I am so happy to be able to represent my country," said Comets defender, Brian Harris. "It is one of the biggest honors as a player and a dream come true to be a part of the U.S. National Futsal Team."

The Americans will train in Milwaukee before heading to England, where they will face Qatar on June 5, Cyprus on June 6 and England on June 8 as they attempt to repeat as champions. The U.S. went 3-0 at the Four Nations tournament last year.
