Pippins Announce Field Of Dreams Program

YAKIMA, Wash. - The Yakima Valley Pippins in partnership with Sunfair Chevrolet are excited to announce the creation of the Field of Dreams program. The program, which allows local children to join Pippins players on the field for the starting lineups and national anthem, will be a part of 17 select Pippins games this summer.
"The Field of Dreams program is unique and allows kids feel the excitement of a pre-game," Pippins general manager Danny Tetzlaff said. "Youth baseball in the Yakima Valley is thriving, so celebrating their commitments to the sport is important."
The Field of Dreams program allows individual children and youth teams to sign up online through pippinsbaseball.com. The online form can be found here. Teams who participate will also need to complete one form for each member of the team, while individual children need to sign up separately. Participating children are given a free Field of Dreams t-shirt and a General Admission ticket.
"Partnering with the Pippins to bring the Field of Dreams program to the Yakima Valley is a great opportunity for us (Sunfair Chevrolet)," SunFair Chevrolet general manager Jason Midkiff said, "It gives us the ability to tell our brand story. Children will look up to Pippin's players and running out on the field with them will allow them to set goals and hopefully one day find themselves in uniform at Yakima County Stadium or be successful in whatever path they choose."
The Yakima Valley Pippins Inaugural Season will commence at Yakima County Stadium on June 6th, 2014 at 7:05 P.M. against the Wenatchee AppleSox. Tickets are now on sale for the 2014 season, including full-season and partial-season packages.
