Clark Cup Champion, Boston Bruin's Krug to Drop Puck Tonight

INDIANAPOLIS - Former Indiana Ice and current Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug will be dropping the ceremonial first puck at tonight's Clark Cup Finals game between the Ice and Waterloo Black Hawks. The match is set to begin at 7:05 pm from Pan Am Pavilion.
Krug was a key player in Indy's 2008-09 Clark Cup Championship run as the 5-8, 170 lbs. blueliner led all team defensemen and finishing second in the league in points (47). His 37 assists during the regular season was the most among all USHL defensemen. He also placed fourth on the team in points while logging four three-point games throughout the season.
The Livonia, MI-native continued to impress through the Ice's 14 playoff games, finishing tied for first in the 2009 postseason with seven points (G, 6A). His six assists once again topped all playoff blueliners.
Following his tenure with the Ice, Krug was a three-year captain with the Michigan State University hockey team. He became the first Spartan defenseman to win a share of the CCHA scoring title and the first in the league since the 1986-87 season. He signed the with Boston Bruins as a free agent following his junior season at the East Lansing, MI campus.
Torey is the brother of Ice associate head coach Adam Krug. The Krug family looks to add a second Clark Cup Champion as Indy could clinch the USHL's championship tonight with a win against Waterloo.
