P-Bruins Stun Penguins 3-2 in OT; Tie Series 2-2

Providence, R.I. - The Providence Bruins defeated the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins in overtime by a final score of 3-2 in game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Seth Griffith, Ryan Spooner and Cory Kane scored for the home team while Malcolm Subban made 28 saves.

Scoring Summary: Providence opened the scoring at the 3:11 mark. Griffith notched his fourth goal of the season while Blake Parlett and Joe Morrow were credited with the assists. The Penguins answered back in the second period at the 13:16 mark when Reid McNeill scored his first of the playoffs, assisted by Chuck Kobasew and Harry Zolnierczyk. The Penguins took a 2-1 lead at the 4:01 mark of the third period when Conor Sheary scored his third of the playoffs, assisted by Anton Zlobin. The Penguins sustained the lead until the very last second of the third period. With 0.6 seconds remaining, Ryan Spooner one-timed a pass from Seth Griffith over the shoulder of Penguins goaltender Peter Mannino to tie the game at 2 and force OT. It was Spooner's fourth goal of the playoffs with the assists going to Griffith and Morrow.

Just 6:31 into OT, Cory Kane scored his first goal of the playoffs to give the home team the 3-2 win. The victory ties the series 2-2.
