DENVER - The Canadian Lacrosse Association announced today that five Colorado Mammoth players have been selected to the Canadian National Men's Field Lacrosse Team that will compete for the world championship this summer at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park. John Grant Jr. was named to Team Canada for a fifth time, while Adam Jones, Dan Coates, Cameron Holding and Dillon Ward will make their debuts with the senior national team in July.

"I couldn't be happier for our players, and for all 24 who have earned the opportunity to represent their country on the world stage," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett.

The Mammoth has the greatest representation on the Canadian squad of any NLL team. Grant, meanwhile, is the most tenured.

"Making Team Canada for my fifth and final time is such an honor because I am getting to play in my new hometown, in front of the best lacrosse fans in the world," said Grant. "It's icing on the cake to be able to share this experience with four of my Mammoth teammates as we have all dreamed of throwing red and white jersey over our heads."

The roster of the two-time world champions from the North is loaded with ties to Denver. Five Denver Outlaws players and six current and former University of Denver Pioneers litter the field.

Team Canada will contend for its third title this summer at the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championships from July 10-19, 2014 in Commerce City, Colo.
