Michigan Warriors News Release
The Fairbanks Ice Dogs scored 3 goals in a 6:03 span in the 1st Period to stake the home team to a 1-0 lead in the best of 3 series, winning the game in Fairbanks 3-1 Friday night.
Fairbanks got goals from Jacob Hetz (2), Hans Gorowsky (3), and Yannick Vedel (3) while Jake Hopfner netted his first of the playoffs at the 10:30 mark of the 3rd Period to cut the Ice Dogs lead to 2 goals, but that was as close as Michigan would come.
