Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Eastern Conference regular-season champion Indiana Ice begin their next step to their second Clark Cup on Friday (4/25) and Saturday (4/26) as they host the defending Clark Cup Champion Dubuque Fighting Saints in games one and two from Pan Am Pavilion. The puck is set to drop for both contests at 7:05 pm.
Indy dispatched their playoff rival, the Green Bay Gamblers, after capturing three of four games on the heels of three shutout performances by goaltenders Hayden Stewart and Jason Pawloski. Stewart's 22-save performance earned the win in game one while Pawloski's back-to-back clean sheets in games three and four sealed the semifinals wins.
Matt Roy (2G, 2A) and Sam Kurker (G, 3A) sit atop all Icemen in scoring with four points each while Patrick Newell has potted three goals in four playoff contests. In the goaltending department, Pawloski leads all netminders in the postseason with a 0.44 GAA and a .974 save percentage in three playoff appearances.
The Ice controlled a 3-1-0 regular-season record in four contests against Dubuque with the only blemish coming in a 3-2 road decision in late March. Indy outscored the Saints 21-11 in the series with Dwyer Tschantz's eight points (3G, 5A) leading all scorers while Scott Conway potted five goals in four games.
Indy will host Dubuque in games one and two before the best-of-five series shifts to Iowa for game three next Friday (5/2) and game four (5/3), if necessary. If the series is tied after game four, game five would be played at Pan Am Pavilion on Tuesday, May 6 at 7:05 pm.
Tickets for the Clark Cup playoffs, presented by Ivy Tech, remain the same at $15 for reserved seating and $10 for standing room only and can be purchased on Ticketmaster or through the Indiana Ice office at (317) 925-4423.
