The State College Spikes are unveiling the club's 2014 promotional schedule in three parts between April 22-24. On Tuesday, the Spikes announced Fireworks Nights and the team's Daily Value Promotional Schedule. Today, the team is unveiling its 2014 giveaway schedule. Thursday will be the release of the team's appearance and special event schedule.

Thursday, August 28 Giveaway to Honor New Blue & White Football Coach

STATE COLLEGE- The State College Spikes have announced the team's 2014 fan giveaway schedule, which will be headlined by Coach James Franklin Bobblehead Doll Night on Thursday, August 28 at 7:05 p.m. against Williamsport.

The Coach Franklin bobblehead giveaway will be held just 36 hours before his team kicks off the 2014 football season in Dublin, Ireland, and also coincides with the Spikes popular THON Night game. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive the giveaway presented by The Nittany Lion Inn & The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.

This will mark the second consecutive season the Spikes will commemorate the Blue and White's head football coach with a giveaway. Last August 28, fans lined up for hours prior to that night's Spikes game to receive the Coach Bill O'Brien bobblehead giveaway.

The Spikes' 38-game home schedule at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will run from June 14 to August 30. 13 additional dates during the 2014 season will feature premium fan giveaway items. The complete 2014 fan giveaway schedule is listed below:

The Spikes offer the area's most fun, affordable night out with ticket prices ranging between just $6-12. Single-game tickets for all 38 home dates will go on sale to the public this Saturday, April 26. At 9 a.m. single-game tickets can be purchased as part of an online-only pre-sale at StateCollegeSpikes.com. At 12 p.m. tickets can be purchased in person at the Spikes Season Kickoff Party at Damon's Sports Bar & Grill or over the phone by calling (814) 272-1711.
