Cavell Johnson of the Brampton A's redeemed his early exit from last year's Slam Dunk Contest by winning this year's contest over the defending champion, Stefan Bonneau of the Windsor Express. Johnson's winning dunk came as he leapt over a ball rack for a one-handed jam.

Canadian Juno award winning rapper Choclair entertained the home crowd on Sunday during intros and again for the halftime show.
