The Red Wings (7-8; T-4th IL North) have now lost six of their last seven games after a season-high six-game winning streak from April 8-12 put them atop the North Division. - After the series finale tomorrow (12 pm), the Wings will wrap up their road trip with a 4-game series in Pawtucket, Tues-Fri.

WITH A WIN TODAY, THE WINGS WILL...:

- Snap a season-high 3-game (4/13- ) road losing streak and avoid their first 4-game road skid since 5/20-6/1/13.

- Avoid falling to a season-high two games below .500 (started season 0-2).

MORE ABOUT YESTERDAY...:

- The Wings had just five hits (all singles) -- their lowest hit output of the season & snapped a streak of 10 games with an XBH.

- Starter Kris Johnson tied a team-high with 8 strikeouts -- Trevor May also had 8 on 4/8 vs. SWB.

- Johnson became the 3rd ROC starter to complete at least 6 inn. and the first to cross the 100 pitch threshold this year (103/71).

WHAT'S HAPPENED?: After a six-game winning streak, the Red Wings have dropped six of their last seven games overall. So what's happened? Over the Wings season-long win streak they hit .366 (68-186) as a team, .381 (24-63) with RISP and the starters posted a 2.39 ERA (7 ER/26.1 IP). Over the recent skid, the Wings are batting just .260 (60-231) as a team, just .208 (11-53) with RISP and Wings starters have posted a 6.00 ERA (24 ER/36.0 IP) -- and that includes Yohan Pino's seven-inning shutout on Thursday.

CLOSE CALLS: After another narrow defeat on Saturday, the Wings' eight losses this season have now come by a combined 15 runs. Over Rochester's six-loss in seven-game slump, they have only lost by a combined 10 runs. The Red Wings have only lost by more than three runs once all season (9-5; 4/14 vs. PAW) and in fact, 12 of Rochester's first 15 games this season have been played within three runs. On Friday night, Rochester lost their 4th straight one-run game after winning their first three of the season. The Wings are now 3-4 on the year in one-run contests. Last year, the Wings went an IL-best 28-19 (.596) in one-run affairs.

- The Wings are 0-3 in extra-inning games this season -- tied with BUF (2-3) for the most extra-inning losses of any IL team.

WINGS 'PEN: Despite losing several close games in the early going this season it certainly hasn't been because of the bullpen as the Red Wings' 'pen has been one of the strong suits for the team this season. Over the last 11 games, the relief corps have posted a 1.77 ERA (8 ER/40.1 IP) -- five of the eight earned runs allowed over this stretch came against the Paw Sox in 3 2/3 innings in Monday's 9-5 loss. Over the streak, they have allowed 10 runs (8 ER) on 38 hits and 23 walks while striking out 35 in 40 1/3 innings. On the year, the unit has posted a 2.59 ERA (17 ER/59.0 IP), although they are just 2-for-5 in save opportunities. The unit has been relied upon almost as much as the starters tossing 59.0 innings compared to the 69 1/3 innings turned in by the starters.

- Last season, the Wings bullpen posted a 4.83 ERA (237 ER/442.0 IP) on the season.

LATE NIGHTS: The Wings have played some looooong games this season, including Friday's 3-hour, 57-minute 11-inning game. Despite the fact that six of the Wings' 15 games this season have been scheduled for only seven innings, the Wings average length of game is 2 hours and 55 minutes. Rochester has already played seven, three-plus hour games this season -- including a 4-hour, 12-minute 13-inning game on April 6 vs. Buffalo. Ironically, the Wings played their quickest game in 5 1/2 years on April 12 (2) at Lehigh Valley (1-hour, 39-minutes).

- The Wings have played just six, 9-inning games this season...Have played five 7-inning contests, two 11-inning affairs, one 13-inning game and a rain-shortened 8-inning game that lasted 3 1/2 hours plus a 49-minute delay.

HOT WINGS: OF Chris Rahl has a hit in 8 of his last 10 games batting .333 (11-for-33) with 4 doubles & 5 RBI... OF Wilkin Ramirez has collected a hit in 8 of his last 11 games, batting.350 (14-for-40) with 4 doubles and a triple...INF/OF Doug Bernier has a hit in all seven of his starts this season and is 9-for-27 (.333) on the season with a tied for team-high 2 homers...INF Deibinson Romero has 3 multi-hit games over his last 4 starts, going 6-for-14 (.429) with 3 runs and 2 doubles...INF James Beresford is batting .450 (9-for-20) with 3 doubles and 8 RBI with RISP on the season -- five more hits with RISP than any other Red Wing.
