Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (5-9) play Game One of a four-game series against the tied for third-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (7-6) at PNC Field in Moosic. With a doubleheader split in Syracuse yesterday (W, 4-0; L, 3-0), the Pigs dropped for three-game set to the Chiefs, 1-2, and have fallen in five of their last seven contests. Lehigh Valley has started 1-2 on this rain-shortened, seven-game North Division road... Scranton/W-B -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- swept a doubleheader in Buffalo yesterday (W, 2-1; W, 7-2) to take a rain-shortened series at Coca-Cola Field, 2-1. The Riders have won four of their last five affairs since starting 3-5. Although failing to make the postseason in 2013, Scranton/W-B has been in the playoffs five times in its seven years since affiliating with New York, winning it all in 2008.
RHP Barry Enright (0-1, 6.52) will start for LHV against RHP Alfredo Aceves (NR).
First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
