The hunt for the Kelly Cup starts tonight at Wings Stadium with game one of a best-of-seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Greenville Road Warriors. During the regular season, Kalamazoo won both encounters versus Greenville (2-0-0-0).
The K-Wings enter this evening looking to continue their home ice success. In the regular season, Kalamazoo went 22-8-3-3 at Wings Stadium which included a seven-game home winning streak and twelve-game home unbeaten streak during the season.
After a slow start to the season, the Road Warriors were one of the top Eastern Conference squads in the second half of the season. Starting from January 1st and running through the remainder of the regular season, Greenville went an impressive 18-9-0-2.

The K-Wings roster is coming together at the right time. In the past 48 hours, Kalamazoo has received Eric Kattelus, Ray Kaunisto, Joel Martin, Mike Matczak and Yannick Veilleux to their lineup.
Home Flying
Forwards Matt Caria and Justin Taylor look to pick up where they left off in the regular season. Caria finished the regular season an ECHL season-high 20-game home point streak, while Taylor went on a 15-game home point streak.
First is the Worst, Second is the Best Kalamazoo head coach, Nick Bootland, finished second place in this year's ECHL Coach of the Year voting behind South Carolina's Spencer Carbery. Under Bootland's tutelage, the K-Wings have captured the North Division crown in four out of the past five seasons.
Working Overtime
Kalamazoo enters tonight's contest having played their past three games in overtime (2-0-1-0). During the regular season, the K-Wings embraced extra time and accumulated 32 points (8-3-4-5), ranking second in the ECHL, behind the Ontario Reign, in points gathered in the extra session.
