Matczak Returns to K-Wings for Playoffs

Kalamazoo, MI- A little over 24 hours away from game one of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals matchup versus the Greenville Road Warriors and the Kalamazoo Wings received some very good news.
Defenseman Mike Matczak was returned from loan from the American Hockey League's Adirondack Phantoms and has been added to the K-Wings playoff roster.
Matczak, who has been with the Phantoms since late December, earned four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in 34 games with Adirondack.
At the time of his call-up to Adirondack, Matczak was one the more productive members of Kalamazoo's blue line posting 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) and a plus/minus rating of +10 in 23 games with the K-Wings.
The series will commence tomorrow, Friday, April 18th at Wings Stadium. Game two of the series will occur at Wings Stadium on April 19th. Face-off for both games is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The K-Wings and Road Warriors will square off in a best-of-seven series that will have a 2-3-2 format.
Thanks to Pepsi, the first 2,500 fans that purchase tickets specifically for game one of round one will enjoy a special $4 ticket price. These special $4 tickets for game one are part of the team's 2013-14 season long 40th Anniversary celebration and reflect ticket prices from the K-Wings Inaugural 1974-75 season.
The next three games of the series are slated for The Bon Secours Wellness Arena beginning with game three on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7 p.m. Game four, will be played on Friday, April 25th at 7 p.m., while game five, if needed, will occur at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th.
Games six and seven, if necessary, would return to Wings Stadium on Tuesday, April 29th and Wednesday, April 30th. Face-offs for those contests would be at 7 p.m.
Tickets for all playoff home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Regular pricing for all other K-Wings Pepsi Playoff games are $17 and $20 for adults and only $8 for children 12 and under. Also, courtesy of Pepsi, the team is offering special $10 tickets for groups of 15 or more throughout the playoffs.
