Wild Releases Goalie Joel Martin

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Thursday the team has released goaltender Joel Martin from a Professional Tryout Agreement (PTO).

Martin made two appearances for Iowa, posting an 0-2-0 mark with a 3.03 GAA and an .897 SV%. He returns to the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings for the team's first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. In 33 games for the Wings this year, the 11-year pro was 19-9-5 with a 2.89 GAA and a .906 SV%. Over the course of his career, Martin has played in 24 AHL games for Iowa, Cleveland, Syracuse, Norfolk, and Bridgeport. He is 4-15-2 all-time in the AHL, as well as sporting 3.48 GAA and a .880 SV %.

The Wild concludes its regular season in Oklahoma City at 7 p.m. on April 18 and April 19.
