LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- CF Chris Dickerson homered on the second pitch of the game for the Tribe, but it was all downhill from there as RF Jason Bourgeois erased the home run with a leadoff blast of his own and CF Ryan LaMarre smashed a two-out grand slam in the fourth to propel the Louisville Bats (7-5) to a 7-3 victory over the Indianapolis Indians (9-3) on Wednesday night at Slugger Field. The loss gives the previously 9-2 Tribe its first set of back-to-back defeats on the young 2014 season.

Both Indianapolis and Louisville met each other blow-for-blow through Wednesday's early goings, and after trading leadoff homers in the first frame, each responded with zeroes on the scoreboard through the second and third innings.

While the Bats relied on three different hurlers to keep the game knotted until the fourth, the Tribe benefited from a strong season debut from 2013 NL All-Star Jeff Locke. The Indians southpaw dialed in after his first-frame homer to retire nine of the next 10 batters, including four by strikeout. However, Locke then suffered a self-inflicted wound in the bottom of the fourth by issuing a two-out walk that loaded the bases and set the stage for LaMarre's game-changing grand slam.

Indianapolis would show signs of life with a fifth-inning run-scoring double from 3B Brent Morel and a seventh-inning RBI from RF Gregory Polanco, but Louisville righty Tim Crabbe buckled down to work a scoreless eighth and solidify his first win of the season.
