INF Kevin Nolan joins Bisons from New Hampshire Herd activates OF Ricardo Nanita from Disabled list

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that INF KEVIN NOLAN has been promoted to the Herd from Double-A New Hampshire. The Bisons also announced that OF RICARDO NANITA has been activated off the disabled list and INF ANDY LaROCHE has been placed on the club's DL with a lower back strain, retroactive to April 15.

NOLAN, 26, began the season with New Hampshire and hit .219 (7-32) with a home run and five RBI in 10 games with the Fisher Cats. He spent all of last season at Double-A and was an Eastern League All-Star for the second consecutive season. In 2013, he led the Fisher Cats with 118 hits, posting a .262 average, 24 doubles, nine home runs and 60 RBI in 120 games. He also won the Blue Jays minor league Community Service Award at the conclusion of the 2013 season.

NANITA has missed the first nine games of the season on the disabled list with a left shin contusion. The veteran hit .261 (35-134) with 11 doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI in 38 games with the Herd last season.

LaROCHE has hit .235 (4-17) with a double and two RBI in four games for the Bisons this season.
