Florida's Walker Named CCM ECHL Player of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Geoff Walker of the Florida Everblades is the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for April.

Walker, who was reassigned to Florida by Tampa Bay of the National Hockey League on April 2, scored six goals, added three assists and was a +6 in six games during the month.

The 26-year-old scored at least one point in each of the games during April and had a pair of multi-point games - notching a hat trick in a 3-2 win against Reading on April 11 and picking up a goal and an assist in a 6-1 victory over Greenville on April 12.

A native of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Walker posted eight points (6g-2a) in 43 games with Syracuse of the American Hockey League this season prior to joining the Everblades.

Walker has 80 points (34g-46a) in 100 career ECHL games with Florida and Ontario and 116 points (45g-71a) in 269 career AHL games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Lake Erie and Syracuse.

Runners Up: Chase Schaber, Bakersfield (7 gp, 7g, 2a, 9 pts.) and Joey Martin, Stockton (7 gp, 3g, 6a, 9 pts).
