Kings Recall Vey

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Linden Vey from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

This is Vey's fifth recall of the season. The 22-year-old rookie has appeared in 18 regular season games for the Kings this season (his first in the NHL), recording five points (all assists) and zero penalty minutes.

The 6-foot, 189-pound native of Wakaw, Saskatchewan has played in 43 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 48 points (14-3448), 20 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating. His 48 points and 34 assists rank second on the club.

Vey was selected by the Kings in the fourth round (96th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.

The Monarchs return to the Dunkin Donuts Center to battle the Providence Bruins in the final regular season game at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18.
