Condors in the Community: Nearly 6,000 Undergarments Donated

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Last weekend, Undie Sunday brought a rain of underwear, socks, bras, diapers and other clothing down onto the ice. Nearly 6,000 clothing items were collected, including 1,096 pairs of socks, 2,773 pair of underwear, 1,747 diapers and 55 bras, among other items. The items will be donated to the Mission at Kern County and the Kern County Network for Children.
The event also brought national exposure to the Condors and the city of Bakersfield, picking up news coverage across the nation in dozens of markets. It was also highlighted on the ESPN show, "Olbermann."
MONDAY, APRIL 14:
Baby Cal and Colonel Claw'd attended a video shoot for a Pedestrian Safety PSA, hosted by the Bakersfield Police Department. The PSA was produced for distribution at Colonel Howard Nichols Elementary School.
FRIDAY, APRIL 15:
Baby Cal will participate in the Mascot Dance Marathon in the Student Union at California State Bakersfield. The event kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
SATURDAY, APRIL 19:
Colonel Claw'd will attend Stay Focused Ministries Easter Blast at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park at 11:00 a.m.
