Visalia Rawhide News Release
VISALIA--Visalia alumnus Mike Bolsinger was called up to the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday, and made his Major League debut by pitching 3 innings for the D-backs. In doing so, he officially became Visalia's 250th alumnus to reach the Major Leagues.
Bolsinger posted a 2.37 ERA for the Rawhide in 2012 before being promoted to AA Mobile.
The 2014 season began with the Visalia franchise at 248 Major League alumni; Bo Schultz made his debut for the D-backs during their season-opening series in Sydney, Australia, making him the 249th.
"This is just another reminder that the players we see in Visalia each season are more than just names and numbers; many of them are future stars and household names," said Rawhide Director of Broadcasting and Media Donny Baarns. "We have a unique privilege to watch these talents showcase their elite abilities in our town, and to have them put Tulare County on the national map."
The Rawhide are currently 8-4 and just 1 game out of first place in the California League North Division. They return home to face Rancho Cucamonga (LA Dodgers) this Thursday through Saturday. Tickets are available at RawhideBaseball.com or by calling 732-4433.
