In the second, Legends starter Austin Fairchild walked five straight batters and hit the next to extend West Virginia's lead to 4-0. After Collins doubled in a pair, JaCoby Jones walked to reload the bases before Erich's Weiss hit an inside-the-park grand slam for a 10-0 advantage. All nine hitters scored a run in the 13 batter second inning. Lexington rallied for six runs between the fifth and seventh innings, but the Power bullpen held on. Dovydas Neverauskas earned his second win as Fairchild was saddled with the loss. Justin Maffei had the only multi-hit game for West Virginia.

GRAND SLAM: Erich Weiss's second inning grand slam was the ninth by a Power player since West Virginia became a Pirates affiliate in 2009. Felipe Gonzalez is tentatively slated to take Heredia's spot in the rotation and start on Thursday at Kannapolis.

MCKINNEY MOVES UP: After placing Luis Heredia on the Disabled List, the Pirates promoted Brett McKinney to the West Virginia roster from Jamestown. McKinney was selected in the 19th round of the 2103 Draft out of Ohio State. The right-hander appeared in 23 games for the Jammers during the 2013 season, going 1-0 with a 3.45 ERA.

SKID STOPPED: The Power snapped their five game losing streak with Sunday's 10-6 victory. The club scored the same number of runs in the second inning Sunday as they did during the entire losing streak. West Virginia was outscored 20-9 during their skid.
