Road Warriors Score First But Lose 6-1

Estero FL: The Road Warriors stormed out of the gate with an early goal but Florida scored six unanswered goals to hand Greenville a 6-1 loss on Saturday night.
Josh Nicholls began the scoring with a one-timer in the slot on a pass from Andrew Rowe. The goal was scored 1:08 into the first period and Kyle Jean added the other assist. Stefan Della Rovere tied the game at one with a goal after a slap shot from teammate Austin Levi. Levi broke his stick on the shot which left Della Rovere to score his fifth of the season. Philip-Michael Devos gave Florida a 2-1 lead after intercepting an Andrew Yogan pass. The first period concluded with Evan Bloodoff scoring on a short-handed breakaway to move the score to 3-1.
6:08 into the second period, Geoff Walker scored his sixth goal in his sixth game of the year while being alone in the slot. His one-timer goal was assisted Mathieu Roy and Devos. That goal was the only scoring in the second period which gave Florida a 4-1 lead heading into the third period.
Kyle Bonis and Brandon MacLean scored to finish Florida's scoring spurt in the third period to move Florida's lead to an eventual 6-1 win. Jason Missiaen stopped 31 shots to move his record to 14-5-1 on the season.
