Allen Americans News Release

Brampton, Ontario - The Allen Americans are one win away from closing out the series with the Brampton Beast. Puck drop tonight at Powerade Center is at 7:30 pm.

The Americans came a little closer to moving on to round 2, after a 4-1 win on Thursday night in Brampton. Greger Hanson led the way for Allen, scoring the eventual game winner late in the first period, his second of the post-season.

"We got the win, but we're still not happy with the way we played last night," said Americans Captain, Mike Berube. "We have to be better in our own end with fewer turnovers. Bryan Pitton was great for us in net last night. We have to play better in front of him."

The Americans have had one first round sweep in their five-year history and that came in 2010-2011, when Allen swept the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees 3-0.

Ross Rouleau was held out of last night's game with an illness. He is expected to be back in the Allen lineup tonight, while rookie forward Cain Franson was a healthy scratch.

Tickets for games 6 and 7 (if necessary) at Allen Event Center are on sale NOW at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000 .

Be sure to watch tonight's Game 4 at the official watching parties at 5th Street Pizza in Allen or Allen Wickers Pub in Plano. Catch the game with Tommy Daniels online at www.allenamericans.com or watch via American One at www.centralhockeyleague.com .
