Sky Waive Carolyn Swords

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky have waived center Carolyn Swords, the team announced Thursday evening. During the 2013 season, Swords averaged 3.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Swords set a career-high in steals (5) against the New York Liberty on July 18. The center appeared in 16 games (2 starts) for the Sky in 2013 before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
Chicago drafted Swords with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft. She has played three seasons in the WNBA, all with the Sky.
