(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Cody Dickson and Justin Topa combined for a four-hit shutout as the West Virginia Power blanked the Lexington Legends 2-0 Saturday afternoon.

Dickson (1-0) worked the first five innings to get the victory. He allowed three hits, struck out seven batters and walked none.

Topa allowed one hit and no walks over the final four innings, and earned his first save.

West Virginia took the lead with a run in the top of the third. With two outs, Harold Ramirez doubled and then scored on an infield hit to deep short by Reese McGuire. The Power added a run in the ninth on a walk to Erich Weiss, a throwing error by shortstop Humberto Arteaga that left runners at first and third, and a single by Edwin Espinal.

Matt Tenuta (0-1) was the starting and losing pitcher for Lexington. He went six innings and gave up five hits and one earned run. Kevin Perez pitched three innings in relief, allowing one hit and one unearned run.

The Power have won two of the first three games in the series, which concludes Sunday afternoon. Game time is 2:05 p.m. The Legends will remain at home for a three-game series against the Rome Braves beginning Monday night.
