ESTERO, FL -: Tonight the Everblades and Stingrays will meet for the eighth time this season. The Everblades (74 pts) head into tonight's action in ninth place of the Eastern Conference, and trail eighth place Fort Wayne (78 pts) by four points.

With a loss last night, Greenville drops to seventh in the conference with 81 points. South Carolina continues to fight off the Orlando Solar Bears for the South Division title. The Stingrays are third overall in the conference, and clinched their spot in the playoffs with a win over Florida on Wednesday.

Tonight's Playoff Scenarios: Both Cincinnati and Wheeling can clinch their spots in the playoffs with a win tonight, OR a loss by the Everblades in regulation. Greenville can clinch a playoff spot only with a win tonight against Gwinnett, AND a Florida loss in regulation.

Yesterday the Syracuse Crunch (AHL) reassigned forward Maxime Parent to the Everblades. Parent has appeared in 36 games for the Crunch this season and recorded nine points. Goaltender Mac Carruth was reassigned to the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) by the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. As a result, Trevor Cann is expected to start in goal tonight for Florida.
