Tacoma Rainiers Season Opener Rained Out

April 3, 2014 - Pacific Coast League (PCL) Tacoma Rainiers

TACOMA, Wash. -- The Tacoma Rainiers 2014 season opener, originally scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. tonight against the Albuquerque Isotopes, has been postponed due to rain. The game will now be played as part of a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. tomorrow, April 4. Each game of the doubleheader will be seven innings, with the second game beginning 30 minutes following the final out of the first game.

Individuals who purchased tickets for tonight's postponed game may redeem those tickets at the Cheney Stadium Box Office for tomorrow's doubleheader or any other 2014 Rainiers home game, excluding July 3rd and August 27th. Tickets may be redeemed only while supplies last.

The Rainiers are expected to start right-hander Blake Beavan (0-0, -.--) in the first game of the doubleheader against Albuquerque's right-hander Stephen Fife (0-0, -.--). The nightcap will feature Tacoma's right-hander Chance Ruffin (0-0, -.--) against right-hander Matt Magill (0-0, -.--) for the Isotopes.
