Sugar Land Skeeters to Host Fan Fest, April 19

SUGAR LAND, TX - The Sugar Land Skeeters will host the annual Fan Fest on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. For the first time, this free event will be held inside the stadium at Constellation Field and has many new attractions for fans.

Skeeters fans will have the opportunity to watch a Spring Training practice to kick off the event and then get autographs from the team. Following the autograph session, fans will feel like the media as they participate in a question and answer forum with select players and coaches.

"We are looking forward to having more player-fan interaction this season and Fan Fest is a perfect way to kick it off," said General Manager Chris Jones. "Fans can also check out the new and improved areas around Constellation Field."

For the first time ever, kids will be able to play in the brand new inflatables zone. This new feature of the ballpark will include an obstacle course, joust, rope ladder and speed of pitch games. Other children activities will include an Easter egg hunt and pictures with Swatson.

Fans will have many chances to win prizes throughout the event by tweeting their pictures with Swatson, participating in a Social Media scavenger hunt around the stadium and by playing the new Launch-A-Ball game.

A self-guided tour will also be available for fans and offer behind-the-scenes access. In addition, new food items and discounted beverages will be available at the concessions stands.
