Power Jump to Third in Latest Coaches' Poll

CHICAGO - The Pittsburgh Power went from unranked last week to No. 3 in this week's AFL Coaches' Poll following a 48-47 victory over the San Jose SaberCats (2-1) in Week 3.

The Arizona Rattlers (2-0) received 13 first place votes to top the Coaches' Poll for the third consecutive week. The Rattlers had a bye in Week 3 and will return to action this Saturday against the seventh-ranked Jacksonville Sharks (1-1). Kickoff is set for 9:00 p.m. EST on ESPN3 this Saturday.

Despite losing to the Power in Week 3, San Jose came in at No. 2 in the Poll for the second straight week. The SaberCats host the fifth-ranked Spokane Shock (1-1) at 10:30 p.m. EST on ESPN3 this Friday night. Spokane had a bye in Week 3.

The Power earned the first win of the Ron James era in Week 3 with a 48-47 victory over San Jose. Pittsburgh began the season at No. 10 in the Poll but dropped off after their Week 1 loss to the Cleveland Gladiators (2-0). The Power will hit the road in Week 4 to face the San Antonio Talons (0-3). Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. EST Friday night on ESPN3.

The undefeated Orlando Predators (3-0) moved up one spot to No. 4 in this week's Poll after defeating the sixth-ranked Tampa Bay Storm (2-1), 56-52, in the final seconds of the "War on I-4". Orlando will attempt to go 4-0 for the first time since 2003 when they take on the New Orleans VooDoo (0-2) Thursday night. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. EST on ESPN3.
