Hartford Wolf Pack News Release

The Wolf Pack (30-31-1-6, 67 pts.) got back-to-back shutouts out of David LeNeveu this past Saturday and Sunday, after the Pack had not posted a single whitewash in the first 66 games of their season. LeNeveu blanked Bridgeport 4-0 at the XL Center on Saturday night, making 22 saves, and then the veteran goaltender stopped 31 Sound Tiger shots in a 3-0 Wolf Pack win Sunday in Bridgeport. Those two triumphs came after a 6-1 loss to Springfield at the XL Center on Friday night.

This week:

This coming weekend marks the Wolf Pack's last three-games-in-three-days stretch of the season, and it includes back-to-back home games Saturday and Sunday. The Wolf Pack travel to Manchester Friday to take on the Eastern Conference-leading Monarchs, with faceoff at 7:00 PM. Then it's back to the XL Center for a Saturday-night battle with Providence (7:00), and the Norfolk Admirals visit Hartford on Sunday. That game faces off at 5:00.

Friday, April 4 at the Manchester Monarchs (Verizon Wireless Arena), 7:00 PM

- The Monarchs (43-18-2-6, 94 pts.) lead the Eastern Conference by a margin of four points over second-place Springfield, and are one point behind the Texas Stars for first place overall in the AHL.

- This is the last game of a six-game season series between the Wolf Pack and Monarchs, and the Pack have lost the last four after winning the first meeting. Hartford is 0-2-0-0 so far in Manchester, with a 5-2 loss December 29, and a 3-2 defeat in the last encounter between the two teams March 9.

- Former Yale Elis Brian O'Neill (2-1-3) and Sean Backman (1-2-3) combined for six points in Manchester's last game, a 7-5 loss at Portland on Saturday night.

- Broadcast - live with Bob Crawford on Fox Sports Radio 1410, on-line at www.foxsportsradio1410.com and on iHeartRadio. Video streaming at www.ahllive.com.

Saturday, April 5 vs. the Providence Bruins at the XL Center, 7:00 PM

- Through the Wolf Pack's "Selfless Saturday" option, fans purchasing tickets on-line for this game can earmark a portion of their ticket purchase to be donated to one of five charities. Those beneficiaries are the Susan G. Komen Foundation, March of Dimes, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the You Can Play Project and the Police Activities League (PAL), a non-profit arm of the Hartford Police dedicated to helping underprivileged youth. When purchasing tickets for this game on-line, through the Wolf Pack's official website, www.hartfordwolfpack.com, fans can enter a special promotional code. The particular code entered will direct the Wolf Pack to donate $2 from each ticket purchased to a specific one of the five charities. The promo codes are: KOMEN, for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, DIMES, for March of Dimes, BGCA, for Boys and Girls Clubs of America, PLAY, for the You Can Play Project, and PAL, for the Police Activities League.

- The Wolf Pack will be wearing their red third jerseys for this game. These will be the jerseys that fans will have a chance to win at the Wolf Pack's Fan Appreciation Night April 19 at the XL Center, in the Pack's "Jersey off Our Back" promotion.

- The Pack will be looking for their first win in six tries against the Bruins on the season, having gone 0-3-1-1 in five previous games between the two teams. Providence has won its last four visits to the XL Center, including 8-5 and 6-4 victories in their two earlier trips this year.

- The Bruins carry a three-game winning streak into this week and currently sit third in the Atlantic Division, at 36-23-2-7 for 81 points, six points behind second-place St. John's.

- A pair of rookie forwards, Alexander Khokhlachev (19-34-53 in 58 GP) and Seth Griffith (19-27-46 in 61 GP) are Providence's top two scorers, and have combined for 14 points in the season series against the Wolf Pack, Khokhlachev with 6-1-7 in five games and Griffith with 2-5-7 in four outings.

- This is the Wolf Pack's final Sunday home game of the season, and the last chance for fans to take advantage of the "Click It or Ticket Family Value Sunday" pack deal, which includes two tickets, two hot dogs and two sodas, starting at only $35.

- Norfolk currently holds down the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with a record of 34-24-2-7 for 77 points, one point ahead of Hershey and ten points up on the Wolf Pack.

- The Wolf Pack and Admirals have met three previous times this year, with the Wolf Pack going 1-1-0-1. Norfolk's only previous visit to the XL Center was opening night, October 5, and the Admirals won that game, 3-2 in a shootout.
