$5,000 Giveaway Highlights Final Regular Season Weekend

DUBUQUE, Iowa-The Dubuque Fighting Saints final weekend of regular season action at the Mystique Community Ice Center is giving fans a reason to cheer. The Fighting Saints host the USHL's top team, the Indiana Ice, for a pair of games, and when the weekend is all said and done, one fan will walk away with $5,000 courtesy of American Trust. Friday's game is Euchre in Dubuquer! at 7:35 p.m. and Saturday's contest is Fan Appreciation Night presented by American Trust at 7:05 p.m. During the second intermission of Saturday's game, one fan will win the grand prize of $5,000 as part of American Trust's "The Winning Edge" contest that has seen fans enter to win great prizes all throughout the month of March.
On Friday, the Fighting Saints will look to "trump" the Indiana Ice, while fans at the arena will be searching for a trump card as well. Friday's game will honor Euchre, which is widely known as the favorite card game of Dubuquers. The evening will feature pre-game euchre games taking place on the concourse. The event will be held from 6:15-7:15 p.m. and a total of 10 teams of two players can take part. Teams are asked to RSVP by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, and space is limited. If those in the tournament play their cards right, they'll come away winners of great prizes, including autographed Fighting Saints memorabilia.
The Fighting Saints will also give fans a chance to earn a trump card at the box office. Fans purchasing tickets on the day of the game will have a chance to pull a card from a deck. If their card trumps the box office attendant's card, then they will receive a Fighting Saints Program Poster featuring the 2013-2014 team photo. This offer is only valid on the day of the game at the Fighting Saints Box Office.
While he is not quite a Dubuquer himself, Friday's game will also feature fun with the other type of "Euchre"--Bob Uecker, best know for his role as Harry Doyle in *Major League*, and for being the Voice of the MLB's Milwaukee Brewers. Trivia about Uecker and some of his top one-liners from over the years will be on display Friday.
On Saturday, American Trust presents Fan Appreciation Night. $5,000 will be awarded during the second intermission of the evening's game as part of "The Winning Edge" contest. All entries in the contest over the past month will be entered into the grand prize drawing, with no limit on the number of entries per person. Fans still have time to enter to win by signing up at American Trust locations, via American Trust's Facebook page and at the games this weekend game prior to the second intermission drawing on Saturday.
"The Winning Edge" contest, presented by American Trust=C2 - =C2 - --the presenting sponsor of the Fighting Saints since their return to the United States Hockey League in 2010--has awarded fans with great Fighting Saints prizes all throughout the month of March. Winners have scored the opportunity to attend Head Coach Matt Shaw's pre-game speech, spend a night in a suite at a Fighting Saints game, and sit in the penalty box during a game.
Saturday's game is Dubuque's final regular season contest prior to the 2014 Clark Cup Playoffs. The Fighting Saints clinched a spot in the post-season for the fourth consecutive year on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Fargo.

Season Ticket Holders are encouraged to visit renew their Season Tickets for the 2014-2015 season by this Friday to receive an Early Bird Renewal gift, as well as sign up for "Pay As We Play" playoff tickets by this Friday to guarantee their seat location for the post-season.
