Sundogs Drop Game against Cutthroats

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs dropped their game, 2-1 against the Denver Cutthroats Friday night at Tim's Toyota Center.

The game was decided in 20 minutes with all three goals coming in the opening period. Denver got on the board quickly after Troy Schwab registered the goal 1:25 into the period with assists from Phil Tesoriero and Garett Bembridge. Arizona answered back, tying the game 5:30 later with a goal from Shawn Limpright his ninth in 11 games. Bryan Cameron and Jason Morgan each picked up the assists. Steven Kaunsito scored the game winner with a minute remaining in the first while on the man-advantage, after Limpright was called for high sticking.

The Sundogs posted a season high, 49 shots on goal, while outshooting the Cutthroats, 49-34. Andrew Engelage made 32 saves. Arizona was 0-7 on the power play and Denver was 1-6. The Sundogs and Cutthroats meet again tomorrow night at 7:05pm where they will finish out their three-game weekend series.
