Philadelphia Wings Make Flurry of Roster Moves at Free-Agency Deadline

March 21, 2014 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release

Prior to the 2014 Free Agency Deadline, the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) agreed to terms for the remainder of the season with Goalie Kevin Croswell, Forward Luke Wiles and Transition Player Jesse Fehr. Croswell will be added to active roster, while Wiles and Fehr were signed to practice player list. Philadelphia also removed the practice player tags from Defender Michael Diehl and Forward Bill McGlone, adding them to the active roster.

Croswell and Wiles both return to the Wings after having previous stints with the team. Croswell most recently spent time with Philadelphia in the NLL during the 2013 season, appearing in nine games and recording 24 saves. The Wings, a team that has had its ups and downs this season for scoring, add depth on offense with the signing of Luke Wiles. Wiles spent the 2013 season with Buffalo, appearing in 12 games and recording 21 points.

Jesse Fehr, a graduate of Harvard and Duke University, enters his second season in the NLL. He previously played with the Edmonton Rush during the 2012 season where he appeared in three games. Fehr was drafted with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft.

Earlier this week before the trade deadline, Philadelphia acquired Transition Player Kyle Belton and two draft picks in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft in exchange for Goaltender Brandon Miller. The draft picks in 2014 are second and fourth round selections.

The Philadelphia Wings celebrate their Third Annual "Bark in the Bowl" game when they host the Toronto Rock at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m.
