London Lightning News Release

(WINDSOR, Ontario) - Tonight, at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, the London Lightning defeated the Windsor Express 82-81 in Game Two of the NBL of Canada best of seven semi-final series. The Lightning now lead the series 2-0.

The game was won with a thrilling two point buzzer beater by Greg Surmacz.

"We didn't shoot well tonight, but we had five guys on the floor, locked in defensively," said veteran Elvin Mims. "Offense wins W's but defense wins championships and that's what we're here to do."

Mims was a force to be reckoned with on the floor tonight, chipping in 32 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks.

The Lightning will play Game Three tomorrow, Thursday, March 20 at Budweiser Gardens. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m.
