Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Central Hockey League announced it's Best of the Best Awards today, and Americans Broadcaster Tommy Daniels was named the CHL's Best Broadcaster.

This is the second time in three seasons that Daniels has won the award. He was also named Best Broadcaster in 2012, as well as the broadcaster for the Central Hockey League All Star Game in 2012. The award is voted on by fellow Media, Broadcasters and Front Office staff across the league.

"I'm blessed," said Daniels, when learning of the award earlier today. "I'm lucky enough to work with some of the best in the business in the CHL, and the best color guy in Minor League Hockey, Maurice Fitzgerald. To be named again for this award is a true honor."

Tommy Daniels has been with the Americans since day one, handling both Broadcasting and Media Relations duties for the team. The Buffalo, New York, native graduated from the University of North Texas majoring in Radio and TV.

Prior to his time with the Americans, he worked for two seasons as the play by play voice of the Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League. He also had a long career in Dallas radio working for several stations, including Sports Radio 1310 the Ticket.

Daniels will be back on the mic tonight as the Americans host the Wichita Thunder at 7:05 pm . Listen to all Allen Americans games online at www.hot1073fm.com.
