Auger Repeats as Sea Dogs' MVP

SAINT JOHN - Goaltender Sebastien Auger has been named the Saint John Sea Dogs' MVP for the second year in a row.

The native of St-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec, was named the Bell Aliant Most Valuable Player at the team's annual awards banquet, held Tuesday at the Delta Brunswick.

Auger, 19, joins Chris Di Domenico as the only players in team history to win the award in back-to-back seasons.

He also became a two-time winner of both the Alpine Three Stars Award and the Irving Oil Team Player Award.

Overage forward Jason Cameron earned his second straight Scotiabank Community Service Award. He also snared the Saint John Airport Academic Player Award.

Third-year winger Oliver Cooper won the Children's Wish Foundation Fans Choice Award, along with the Pepsi Top Scorer Award.

Olivier LeBlanc is the Sun Life Global Investments Top Defenceman, while forward Nathan Noel earned the Grant Thornton Rookie of the Year Award.

Blueliner Thomas Chabot won the Tim Hortons Most Improved Player Award.
