Forsberg Headed to ECHL

The Moose Jaw Warriors are happy to announce that graduating defenceman Jesse Forsberg is joining the Colorado Eagles for the remainder of the East Coast Hockey League season.
Forsberg was the 10th overall pick in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft; he went on to play five seasons in the WHL with Prince George, Seattle, and Moose Jaw. He dressed in 296 regular season games, scoring 24 goals, totalling 107 points, and finishing with 619 penalty minutes from 2009-2014. He also played in 11 playoff games, scoring two goals and finished with five points and eight penalty minutes.
Forsberg's best offensive season came with the Warriors, he set career highs in goals (10), assists (25), and points (35), and he also had 129 penalty minutes. He was named the Warriors Canada Safeway Top Defenceman.
Congratulations to Jesse as he begins a new chapter in his hockey career.
The Colorado Eagles currently sit third in the ECHL Mountain Division with a record of 29-20-6-4; Forsberg will join the Eagles immediately.
