East Coast Calls for Ramsay, Derko

Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release
Lethbridge, AB - One day after seeing their Western Hockey League careers come to a close, a pair of Lethbridge Hurricanes are taking the next step. Forwards Brady Ramsay and Josh Derko have signed amateur tryout contracts with teams in the East Coast Hockey League.
Brady Ramsay, 21, signed with the Stockton Thunder which reunites him with former Lethbridge Hurricanes teammate Landon Oslanski. Ramsay was passed over in the Bantam Draft but scouts noticed his play and invited him to training camp. His grit, tenacity and toughness along with his offensive upside are what he's showcased throughout his time in the WHL. The Calgary native played his entire WHL career with the Hurricanes registering 129 points (53G, 76A) in 255 career games.
20-year old Josh Derko signed his ATO with the Gwinnett Gladiators. Derko was acquired in a deadline trade with Swift Current in the 2012-2013 season. The native of Sherwood Park, AB suffered a knee injury in late December but was able to return to play the final five games of the season. Despite being limited to just 42 games this season, his strong physical play made him tough to play against. Derko tallied 53 points (29G, 24A) in 207 career WHL games.
Both Derko and Ramsay are expected to join their respective teams later this week.
