Schierhorn, the Anchorage, Alaska native, earns the weekly honors from the league after an outstanding outing this past weekend on Friday and Saturday during the pair of home games against the rival Youngstown Phantoms.

On Friday, Schierhorn turned aside 19 of 20 shots faced in a comfortable 5-1 victory over the Phantoms and followed it up the next night on Saturday with a 40-save performance in a tight 2-1 win to complete the home weekend sweep over the Eastern Conference counterpart. In the two games this past weekend, the first-year Lumberjack compiled a sparkling 1.00 goals-against average to go along with a .967 save percentage.

"It's an honor to receive this recognition again from the USHL as I continue to get great support defensively from my teammates that, in return, makes my job a whole lot easier," said Schierhorn. "The recent hot streak that we have been on lately has been due to the whole team coming together as one and finding ways to win, and I am happy to provide a small contribution to our recent success."
