Wheat Kings Playoff Dates Announced

Calgary, AB. -- The Western Hockey League have announced the dates for the best of seven Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series between the Brandon Wheat Kings and Regina Pats.
The series will get underway next weekend in Regina, before shifting to Westman Communications Group Place for games three and four.
Due to a scheduling conflict with the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, game six (if necessary) will not be played in Brandon.
Following is the complete first round series schedule between the Pats and Wheat Kings:
Game 1 - Saturday, March 22nd Wheat Kings @ Regina Pats 8pm (Manitoba time)
Game 2 - Sunday, March 23rd Wheat Kings @ Regina Pats 8pm (Manitoba time)
Game 3 - Wednesday, March 26th Regina Pats @ Brandon Wheat Kings 7pm (Manitoba time)
Game 4 - Friday, March 28th Regina Pats @ Brandon Wheat Kings 7:30pm (Manitoba time)
Game 5 - Saturday, March 29th Brandon Wheat Kings @ Regina Pats 8pm (Manitoba time)
Game 6 - Monday, March 31st Regina Pats vs. Wheat Kings Location & Time tbd
Game 7 - Wednesday, April 2nd Brandon Wheat Kings @ Regina Pats 8pm (Manitoba time)
While the Pats captured the Eastern Division pennant this past season, the Wheat Kings won the 8-game season series between the two teams. Brandon won five of the 8 games, including back to back games this past season to close out the 2013-14 regular season.
Overall, Regina enters post season play as the second seed in the Conference having compiled a 39-26-4-3 record. The Wheat Kings meanwhile finished seventh at 34-29-6-3 and enter the playoffs riding a 3-game winning streak.
Playoff tickets will go on sale this week at the Keystone Centre box office. Fans will also be able to order online at www.wheatkings.com or by calling (204) 726-3555. More details on when those tickets will be on sale for the general public will be announced early this week.
By advancing to post-season play this season the Wheat Kings have now qualified for the playoffs in twenty-one of the last 23 years.
