Kuhnhackl and Ruopp Assigned to Wheeling

WHEELING, WV. - The Wheeling Nailers announce today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forward Tom Kuhnhackl and defenseman Harrison Ruopp to the team, from the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
Kuhnhackl has recorded eight goals, two assists and 22 penalty minutes in 48 games this season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The 22-year old has also contributed a goal and an assist in three games with the Nailers.
Originally from Landshut, Germany, Kuhnhackl was a fourth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins (110th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
In 11 games with the Penguins this year, Ruopp has posted 18 penalty minutes. A 20-year old rookie from Zehner, Saskatchewan, Ruopp has also collected two assists and 33 PIM over 14 games for Wheeling.
A 2011 third-round draft pick (84th overall) of the Phoenix Coyotes, Ruopp was acquired by the Pittsburgh Penguins on June 22, 2012.
