The Soo Eagles continue to pursue their bid for the playoffs, as they play host to the hard charging Michigan Warriors, this Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., at Pullar Stadium. If you can't make it to the rink, you can catch all the action on www.fasthockey.com.
The Eagles are in a battle for fourth place, and the final playoff spot in the North Division, as they are currently tied for fifth place, with Springfield, at 49 points, and two points behind Janesville, who occupies fourth place. Michigan is in second place, with 60 points, six points behind first place Port Huron.
The Eagles are led in scoring by Mike Sabatini, who has 14 goals and 16 assists this season. Sandis Zolmanis has 9 goals and 16 assists, while Brad Pung is (6-16- 22).
The Warriors are led in scoring by Zack Szajner, who has 10 goals and 25 assists this season. Colin Larkin has 21 goals and 13 assists, while Jon Farkas is (9-22- 31).
Soo Eagles goaltender Nathan Klebe is 6-5-0-0 on the campaign, with a goals against average of 2.77 and a save percentage of .918. Paige Skoog is 5-8-0-1 with a GAA of 2.74 and a SV% of .926.
Trevor Gorsuch is 13-7-1-4 in net for Michigan, with a goals against average of 2.55 and a save percentage of .917. Robbie Beydoun is 6-1-0-0 with a GAA of 2.15 and a SV% of .919.
