(Windsor) Eric Locke had a pair of goals, while Justin Kea and Jesse Graham each chipped in three assists, as the Saginaw Spirit beat the Spitfires 8-3 in front of 5,470 at the WFCU Centre on Thursday night.
Remy Giftopoulos (24), Brody Milne (17) and Josh Ho-Sang (30) scored for Windsor (36-24-3-0), which lost the services of Slater Koekkoek in the second period. The club's captain suffered an upper body injury in a fight with Jeremiah Addison after the Saginaw winger was penalized for a hit on Brody Milne.
Koekkoek is currently day-to-day as he undergoes further examination.
Eric Diodati had a pair of assists for the Spitfires and Ho-Sang added an assist. Alex Fotinos returned from injury to start his first game in two weeks, making 35 saves while giving up all eight goals. Jake Paterson had 37 saves in the win.
The Spitfires travel to Erie to take on the Otters Friday night, before returning home to host the Soo Greyhounds on Sunday afternoon.
