Saint John Riptide News Release

(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats have found themselves in a must-win situation at home tonight in Game 2 of their Atlantic Division semifinals against the Halifax Rainmen. The Mill Rats will be counting on the "6th man" the fans to come up big for them tonight in the cheering department.

The #4 Rainmen stunned the #1 Mill Rats in their playoff opener at Harbour Station on Tuesday night, 113-110 in overtime. The Mill Rats shot 23-40 from the free throw line despite being the best free throw shooting team in the league, at 76.3%.

After tonight, Saint John heads to the Metro Centre in Halifax for Games 3 and 4, on Friday 7PM and Sunday at 2PM. Game 5, if necessary, will be at UNB-Saint John on Saturday March 15th at 7PM.

"We have to come out aggressive and focused tonight. It (the loss) may turn out to be a blessing in disguise for us as hopefully it woke us up," said Mill Rats Head Coach Rob Spon. "It would be great to see the whole City come out and support us at home."

Single game tickets for tonight's game and Game 5 are on sale at the box office and online at www.harbourstation.ca.
