Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release
Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes are in the home stretch to the season starting with a pair of games at the ENMAX Centre this weekend. The Hurricanes host the Regina Pats on Friday and wrap up the weekend Saturday against the Swift Current Broncos; both games are at 7:00pm. We also have a few special nights to close out the season.
Friday, March 7th - Fan Appreciation Night: It's a jam packed night to say THANK YOU to the fans for their support all season long. The Hurricanes would also like to thank all the sponsors who donated prizes - including Bronze Tan for providing our Mexican Cruise giveaway! Game sponsor Save-On-Foods will be holding a special Chuck-a-Puck, while Great Clips will be shaving heads for $5 dollars. Proceeds from both events will go to Ronald McDonald House and the Make a Wish Foundation of Southern Alberta. This year's Hurricanes Hockey Cards are also here and the first 1,200 fans through the door will receive them courtesy of the Lethbridge Herald. Fans are encouraged to stay after the game as the team will be signing autographs on the concourse afterwards.
Saturday, March 8th - United Way Night: Lethbridge welcomes former Hurricanes Goalie Jamie McLennan to the ENMAX Centre courtesy of ATB Financial as the Broncos are in town. McLennan will take part in our ceremonial puck drop; in addition he'll be signing autographs in the Lounge during 2nd intermission.
Friday, March 14th - Jersey Off our Back / Awards Night: Green Prairie sponsors Friday's game final home game of the season with Medicine Hat. We'll be holding a special pre-game awards ceremony recognizing the graduating players and those such as Top Defenceman, Rookie of the Year and MVP. We'll also be having a LIVE auction after the game to win your favorite players' jersey as we auction off our thirds; the blue airplane logo.
